The classes at EIM continue growing strong, and we’re delighted to report that a US grant maker has come forward to provide $2400 toward the students’ orphanage teaching programme!
With their help, EIM students will be able to keep practicing their teaching skills while teaching orphaned children English. The classes not only help the kids learn a valuable skill – they also build the kids’ confidence.
EIM represents a fantastic opportunity for all of our students, but it’s particularly important for the mothers in our classes. For the moms at EIM, finding work isn’t just about a better life for themselves - it’s also about sending their kids to school so that they can build a bright future.
That’s why this mother’s day, we’re featuring three inspiring mom’s from EIM. Bengie and Brunache are all working not only for a better future for their kids. This mother’s day, you can honour your mom by supporting an inspiring Haitian mother like Bengie.
When you make your donation to a mother in Haiti, your mom will receive a beautiful card and GlobalGiving will top your donation up by $5. Please consider getting your mom a beautiful GlobalGiving card this mother’s day by giving whatever you can to Bengie or Brunache!
Thanks so much for all you've done, and our warmest regards!!
Emma
