We Have Another Update For You

By Kelly Martin | CEO

Hello Friends!

The last 3 months have been an eventful period for us at the Conservation Education Society, please read on to learn what we have been upto;

In partnership with the Marine Education Centre, we held the second ever Diani Sea Turtle Festival in June, which we are happy to report was a huge success. Through the very kind sponsorship received from several organisations, we were able to provide transport, lunch and a free water bottle to 200 students from our community. We have attached the report for the event for your perusal, but we were thrilled to be able to reach so many students and increase awareness of sea turtle conservation amongst our community.

We have also been working with the Kwale Recycling Centre on an outreach programme that focuses on waste management, marine conservation and forestry. We are working with students and community groups, providing a weekly workshop. The first module focused on waste management and has now been completed. We are now kickstarting module 2, which focuses on marine conservation.

For further information on our activities over the last 3 motnhs, please go to: https://ceskenya.org/newsletters-2021/ and read our newsletters.

The Conservation Education Society will continue developing new and innovative ways to engage students in conservation, especially with our recent partnerhip with Kenya Wildlife Services. This will inable us to reach out to even more communities in Kenya.

We have some exciting plans ahead and none of it would be possible without your support, thank you.

Stay tuned!
