One month ago our team was working incredibly hard to raise much-needed funds through the GlobalGiving Accelerator Campaign. Despite the rapidly changing world around us, we were able to raise the required $5,000 and this is all because of you! We now have a permanent partnership with GlobalGiving and we really cannot thank you enough!
So, what have we been up to in the month of April?
Like many people around the world, we have had to make drastic changes to our everyday lives, now with our passionate and dedicated team working from their homes. Throughout April we have been releasing online quizzes about sustainability and marine conservation. We have had a fantastic response and will be announcing an overall winner at the end of this month. If you would like to play, please follow us on social media, where you can find all our quizzes, or contact us directly and we would be happy to email them to you! We have also taken the opportunity to familiarise ourselves with all the amazing resources and opportunities GlobalGiving has to offer and this help couldn't have come at a better time! Like many organisations in our position, much of the future funding that we were expecting from our programmes this year has understandably had to stop or be suspended. With GlobalGiving's numerous opportunities, we are using this time to participate in their professional training and webinars as well as develop more campaigns for all the amazing projects we currently have in the pipeline. We will also be actively seeking additional funding and we will finally have time to complete many outstanding projects such as our website and development of new educational resources for our community, so when we are able, we can hit the ground running.
All of this would not have been possible without your incredibly kind and generous donations, this really will mean the difference between success and failure over the next few months. All funds raised in March's campaign will be kept ready for when we can start engaging again with the amazing schools and students in our community.
Thank you friends, for caring, stay safe and healthy!
