Generous donors like you have been key to the successes of the South Durban Community Environmental Alliance (SDCEA) and we sincerely thank you for being a part of something truly life-changing! Your support has helped SDCEA focus their work on empowering individuals in South Durban to build communities that stand for environmental justice!
However, we sincerely regret to announce that we will no longer accept donations for this particular project, as the South Durban Community Environmental Alliance (SDCEA) is shifting their efforts on building upon current networks for future funding.
SDCEA was established in 1995 to empower people to confront the environmental impacts of industrialization and pollution. With a grassroots movement approach, SDCEA fights tirelessly for a better environment and sustainable livelihoods by campaigning, conducting research studies, providing educational workshops, and organizing and lobbying local government.
SDCEA has linked hundreds of members and rural communities to unite in a common struggle for a healthy living environment. You, as a great supporter, not only made that possible, but you also contributed to the following incredible successes of SDCEA:
SDCEA has clearly demonstrated the capability and commitment to building upon their environmental justice model and initiating policy change at government level. They are encouraging the development of regional and global partnerships that will allow them to reach beyond their desired goals for 2012.
