Every little gesture counts!
Our partners at Green Bay East High School shared a picture of how they setup extra period products for free and easy access to girls in need. They explained:
"This is what we did with the pads and some of the tampons we had leftover. We set this up in all of our girls bathrooms."
We just love that these girls have access to things they need. Reports have shown 1 in 5 girls miss school because of period poverty. A period should not stand in the way of getting a quality education.
Thanks to you, we've been able to make a difference. From January to April this year, we've distributed nearly 40,000 period products to 1,451 people in need. Even with summer upon us, period poverty will continue to strike girls living in low income families, and your ongoing support of this project remains vital.
