Summary
Village Home Health and Hospice, is vital to our community. Our hospice care is designed to comfort patients and family members, and makes a priority of ensuring the terminally ill patient is at ease, medically, socially, emotionally and spiritually. These patients now have a choice to live their final days at home in one of Cedar Village’s independent or assisted living apartments, or in the surrounding community, and still receive the care that they need.
Challenge
Moving an individual to a setting other than their home to receive hospice care can be traumatic for most. Being able to continue to live in their home and receive the best care so that they may spend the end of their lives in familiar and comforting surroundings, will make this process less stressed for both the patient and their families.
Solution
By providing services including, but not limited to: Hospice Care, Home Health, RN’s, Grief Counseling, Chaplain Services, Medication Instruction, Pain Management, Wound Treatment, Physical, Occupational and Speech Therapists, and much more, Village Home Health and Hospice is essential to the patient or resident, and their families. It is so important to know where to turn in this time of need.
Long-Term Impact
In the long-term, spending the end of life at home with dignity will be more common. The services of Home Health and Hospice, lessen a great deal of the caretaker duties for family members and allow them to concentrate to the emotional and spiritual needs of their loved one because they are confident they are receiving the best medical care.
