Our hospice and palliative care services focus on ensuring the best possible quality of life for patients who face serious end of life illness. We offer a tender touch, help to ease the pain, and offer comfort to allay anxiety. In the peaceful surroundings of our campuses or the familiarity of their own homes, our patients can approach each day secure in knowing that we are dedicated to making it the best it can be. Our hospice care focuses on quality of life, comfort and dignity for patients with a terminal illness. Patients are offered a variety of therapies to manage symptoms, control pain and ease anxiety when they have chosen not to continue more aggressive treatments.
Families of our hospice patients find comfort with us, too. Our Hospice team collaborates closely with family members and caregivers, crafting a personalized plan of care for every patient receiving hospice or palliative care at Cedar Village. Our shared goal is to ensure thoughtful and caring attention to every aspect of our patients’ physical, emotional, social and spiritual selves. Our staff understands the uncertainty and pain of parting with a loved one, offering empathetic ears to listen and shoulders to lean on as well as individual and group counseling and bereavement services. Patients from many faiths choose our hospice and palliative care for our commitment to the wholeness of each person’s unique individuality. We understand the profound importance of spiritual support at this time and ensure ready access to clergy and rabbis according to each person’s preference.
Our experienced team of professionals includes Medical Director, Registered Nurses, Medical Social Workers, a Registered Dietitian, Hospice Aides, Consultant Pharmacist and volunteers. These dedicated specialists are available to patients and families 24 hours a day, every day at Cedar Village and for in-home visits.
