One resident’s request during the holidays was to go to the Cincinnati Zoo to see the Holiday Lights. Going to the zoo during the winter months was a family tradition and she wanted to go one last time. After the trip, she told stories about her childhood and how her family would go to the Cincinnati Zoo as a family during the holidays. Providing meaningful personal experiences to those at the end of life is important.
Individuals who are receiving Cedar Village Hospice care will often request to do something special. Requests have included an outing to go bowling at a local bowling alley for an afternoon, going out to a restaurant for a special meal and attending a play at a theater in town. Our goal is to make it possible to provide meaningful experiences for our residents at all times in their lives.
Please consider a donation to Ensuring the Highest Quality End of Life Care to help make it possible to bring our residents to special outings which bring cheer and meaning to residents.
