By Sally Korkin | Executive Director, Cedar Village Foundation
Cedar Village Hospice volunteers have started a new project – making lap blankets for our Hospice patients. Often, volunteers may not be comfortable with direct patient care, but knitting and crocheting is a wonderful way to make a difference behind the scenes while creating a beautiful gift for our Hospice patients. It is a win-win opportunity. The patients appreciate the warmth and comfort of the blankets at then end of their lives and the knitting volunteers are creating a gift from their hearts that they know will be appreciated. Your gift will help purchase yarn to make blankets for the patients.
