Strengthening the Foundation

Dear Friends, Family and Supporters of Serendipity Healthcare Foundation,

During the first quarter of 2026, our primary operational focus was the expansion of clean water access through the rehabilitation of community hand pumps. We believe that health is holistic; by securing safe water and improving community hygiene, we have created a healthier environment that directly supports our upcoming malaria interventions.

While physical distribution of malaria commodities is slated for Q2, we have utilized this quarter to conduct essential groundwork. Our team has successfully identified and profiled households at the highest risk.

Special priority has been given to families residing in close proximity to local streams and standing water—prime breeding grounds for mosquitoes. This data-driven approach ensures that our 2026 distribution will be precise and impactful.

We are pleased to report that the "Supply Chain" phase for our Q2 rollout is currently underway:

  • ITN Distribution: We have initiated the procurement process for 25 Insecticide-Treated Nets (ITNs).
  • Medical Supplies: Requests for quotes and availability have been sent to our verified suppliers for Malaria Rapid Test Kits and First-Line medications.
  • Timeline: We anticipate these supplies will be ready for field distribution by the start of the second quarter.

To provide context on our capacity and the life-saving nature of these interventions, we invite you to view the attached video summary of our 2025 Malaria Project. This highlights our previous year’s success in testing, treating, and protecting vulnerable populations in Kano.

In the coming weeks, we will pivot our field teams from water infrastructure to malaria frontline services, focusing on:

  1. Direct Distribution of ITNs to the mapped "at-risk" households.
  2. Mobile Testing Clinics for children and pregnant women.
  3. Educational Workshops on the proper use of nets and hygiene-based prevention.

Thank you once again for all your support.

Yours Faithfully,
