The Girl Child Foundation Uganda provided school uniforms to girls from vulnerable families to promote school attendance and strengthen efforts to end early child marriage.
For a girl struggling to attend school without the required uniform, the experience can affect her confidence and sense of belonging.
Our intervention helped girls return to school feeling supported, valued, and prepared to learn.
Beyond providing clothing, the initiative represents an investment in girls’ dignity and educational aspirations.
When girls remain in school, they gain access to knowledge, friendships, mentorship, and opportunities that can influence their entire lives.
Education can also help girls develop the confidence to make informed choices about their futures and resist pressures that may lead to early marriage.
We thank our donors and partners for helping us address practical barriers to education and for standing with vulnerable girls in Uganda.
