End Early Child Marriage in rural Uganda

Because of your generous support, more girls in rural Uganda are choosing education and opportunity over early marriage. Every day, we witness young girls making courageous decisions to remain in school and pursue dreams that once seemed impossible.

During this reporting period, our mentorship and community outreach programs continued to provide girls with the knowledge, confidence, and encouragement needed to stay focused on their futures. Through life-skills training, participants learned about leadership, goal setting, self-confidence, and decision-making. These sessions empowered girls to see themselves as future professionals, leaders, and change-makers.

One participant shared that before joining the program, she believed marriage was her only option. Today, she dreams of becoming a teacher and helping other girls achieve their potential. Stories like hers remind us why this work matters.

Community meetings engaged parents, teachers, and local leaders in conversations about the value of educating girls and the risks associated with child marriage. These discussions are helping shift attitudes and create stronger support networks for vulnerable children.

Teachers reported improved attendance and greater participation among girls benefiting from project activities. Many students are demonstrating renewed enthusiasm for learning and greater confidence in the classroom.
