The Society for Minors’ Protection and Development (SMPD) is deepening its engagement with rural communities, where many beneficiaries seek financial assistance from local organizations. Unfortunately, in these areas, people often perceive disability as a curse on their families due to a limited scope of awareness. Moreover, government officials are not providing the necessary attention and support for persons with disabilities.
At SMPD, we deeply understand the emotions and challenges of having a disabled family member. This understanding inspired us to take the initiative to support these individuals. Despite our limited resources, we have found hope and strength through our partnership with GlobalGiving. This platform has enabled us to address community needs by submitting targeted projects, allowing us to assist these families directly.
So far, the funds raised through this initiative have given us hope and motivation to continue our efforts. We remain committed to helping families gain a better understanding of persons with disabilities, fostering inclusion, and improving their quality of life.
Project reports on GlobalGiving are posted directly to globalgiving.org by Project Leaders as they are completed, generally every 3-4 months. To protect the integrity of these documents, GlobalGiving does not alter them; therefore you may find some language or formatting issues.
