The Society for Minors' Protection and Development (SMPD) is delighted to present the inaugural report on the project "Enabling the Potential in 86 Persons with Disabilities" to our esteemed donors on GlobalGiving. Working on this platform has been a fulfilling journey, and we've successfully reached communities in need. The project has made a significant impact, providing chairs to many persons with disabilities. The SMPD has received numerous requests from others seeking support for individuals within their network not only from the Sindh region but also from the Punjab.
Allow us to share the story of a girl, who faced health challenges due to her mother's illness during pregnancy, leaving her with a disability. Unfortunately, her parents couldn't afford to buy her a wheelchair. The SMPD team, upon learning of Naseem's situation, promptly reached out to her family and provided the necessary support. Her parents expressed profound gratitude, emphasizing how this wheelchair has brought immense joy to their daughter. With the newfound mobility, Naseem can now move around the house and play with her two brothers, an opportunity she was deprived of before.
The SMPD aspires to extend the reach of this project, bringing assistance to more impoverished families like Naseem's. Your continued support is crucial in making these positive transformations in the lives of persons with disabilities.
