At Fundación CIMA, we continue working to reduce the barriers that breast cancer patients face in accessing timely medical care. Through Camino a la Vida (En Route to Life), we support patients who need transportation to attend medical appointments, treatments, and follow-up care.
During May and June 2026, 131 transfers were carried out. In July, the program provided 88 additional transfers, including 54 for patients and 34 for accompanying family members or caregivers. Of the patients supported in July, 25 traveled to INCan (National Cancer Institute) for medical care and treatment, while nine were transported for mammography studies.
Altogether, 219 transfers were provided from May through July, helping patients and their companions overcome transportation and distance barriers that can make continuity of care more difficult. We are deeply grateful to our donors for making this support possible and for helping patients continue their care with greater certainty.
Warm regards,
