Because of you, 2025 was a year of breakthroughs. Your donations didn’t just pay for tuition—they opened doors that had never been opened before.
Let us tell you about just a few of those doors.
A laptop, a thesis, and a dream realized
When Adinew received a scholarship from the Omo Valley Research Project, he was already determined to earn his master’s in Dairy Science. But he needed more than fees—he needed a computer to complete his research. Thanks to you, we donated a laptop. This year, Adinew successfully defended his master’s thesis and graduated. He is now ready to improve dairy farming in his community.
From the Omo Valley to Moscow
Etsubdnk always dreamed of studying biology. But a full scholarship to RUDN University in Moscow? That felt impossible. Then she scored high on the RUDN Olympiad and won exactly that—a full ride. Your support provided her with the foundational education and confidence to compete and win. We were honored to help her get her Russian visa. Next stop: Moscow.
Hands-on experience, real impact
Your gifts also funded internships. Lotak spent a summer at the Commercial Bank of Ethiopia, learning finance and customer service. Alano completed an intensive malaria prevalence research program at Jinka Hospital. These aren’t just resume lines—they are skills that will save lives and strengthen Ethiopia’s economy.
The numbers behind the stories
26 students received scholarships totaling $26,224 in direct support.
5 laptops and tablets donated to students who otherwise had no way to do research, write papers, or apply for further opportunities.
Two thesis defenses completed (Adinew – Dairy Science; Meseret – Architecture, with an eco-resort plan for the Omo).
One international scholarship won against fierce competition.
Every single one of these achievements was made possible by you.
Why your continued support matters in 2026
Right now, there are more students waiting. They have the talent and the drive, but they lack school fees, a computer, or even a bus pass to get to an internship. Your gift today means we can say “yes” to the next Etsubdnk, the next Adinew, and the next Lotak.

With deepest gratitude,
The Omo Valley Research Project Team
