Hi Friends !
We are sending our gratitudes to you, our dedicated supporters and we hope your summer is filled with excitement and joy - At Project Soar we strive to look back into ourselves and believe that continuously learning helps us better our programs and provide a better solution for Soar Girls!
To do so, we held a facilitator training at the end of June. The training was attended by 22 facilitators who were introduced to the new Soar Clubs system and got to partake in multiple activities put together to help them better the employability of the Soar Girls in their locations all across Morocco.
In this inclusive and supportive environment, our dedicated facilitators were able to share their experience, identify the difficulties that may arise and learn how to better communicate with their communities. Thanks to this training they will be able to better nurture Soar Girls’ community leadership abilities.
Now more equipped than ever, our amazing facilitators will be able to deliver even better programs, engage with their communities and inspire Soar Girls so that our goal of empowering teen girls can be achieved, one girl at a time.
Aya, who is a former Soar Girl shares her experience:
“When I started Project Soar I knew that it was a chance for me to be able to know my voice and my value, and know everything about my body and my path. As I then took part in the Soar Clubs, we started practicing everything we had been taught, and improved ourselves ! It also enabled us to give our individual power to other members of the group. Now as I have improved and am capable enough I thought why not share everything I learned with other girls ? and this is why I became a facilitator. That is why when I speak with the girls, I know their feelings. This training brings some change but here at Project Soar we are one family and every person is special.”
Stay tuned for more stories from these incredible women, and never doubt you are making a difference!
Warmest Wishes
The Project Soar Team
