YTC empowers underserved youth with hands-on robotics and technology education, giving them the skills, confidence, and opportunities to succeed in STEM. By bridging the digital divide, we inspire the next generation of innovators and leaders, preparing them for a brighter future. YTC operates 10 programs across 3 states in Mexico, providing students from underserved communities with access to robotics kits, coding workshops, and real-world engineering challenges.
YTC is addressing the lack of access to quality STEM education and the barriers faced by youth, particularly in underserved communities. These barriers include high education costs, negative stereotypes in STEM fields, and limited opportunities for hands-on learning.
YTC offers free, accessible STEM education through hands-on workshops, mentorship, and peer-led classes. YTC provides students with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in digital fields, while creating a supportive environment that challenges stereotypes and promotes inclusivity. By incorporating peer-to-peer teaching, the project will also empower older students to become mentors, fostering leadership and breaking down cultural and educational gaps.
By providing underserved youth with access to STEM education, the project will inspire them to develop a passion for more complex subjects, encouraging them to pursue advanced STEM careers. This newfound interest will open doors to higher education opportunities, setting them on a path to break generational cycles of poverty within their families and communities. In turn, it will empower them to create lasting change and contribute to the economic and social growth of their communities.
