Webinar from Borneo, April 2014

While we are half way through the year, we are only part way through the work needed to address global warming and all of its’ associated impacts. With that in mind, we sincerely thank you for your continued support to empower youth environmental action. Since our last report, we have:

  • Continued to support youth to monitor rainforest lands through programs like Earthwatchers;
  • Engaged educators in our mini-course, which will help them engage students in challenge-based learning and design authentic learning experiences related to deforestation;
  • Engaged students in webinars live from Borneo, Indonesia to provide updates on their work to protect rainforests and the orangutans that depend on them, and;
  • Shared our story and promoted out work at the International Society for Technology in Education Conference in Atlanta, June 2014.

As we gear up for the new school year, we are working on creating a newer version of Earthwatchers to better detect land loss, and plans for exciting webinars. Until then, have a wonderful summer and we look forward to your continued partnership to engage youth in environmental action.
