At TakingITGlobal, we’ve been up to some exciting projects since the beginning of the new year to help strengthen the capacity of youth around the world to create environmental change in their communities. Since the last report, we have:

Designed educational resources and delivered webinars to help educators implement environmental education in their classrooms and empower their students;
Hosted webinars on World Earth Day with young changemakers from across Canada, USA, Indonesia, Australia, Taiwan, Romania and Slovakia to discuss deforestation and great ape habitat loss, while hearing from youth on their plans to design and launch deforestation awareness projects in their communities;
Supported youth to monitor rainforest lands through programs like Earthwatchers, and;
Launched a mobile phone recycle campaign to address coltan mining in Western Africa.
