Progress Report on the Implementation of
CAASE’s Prevention Curriculum:
Empowering Young Men to End Sexual Exploitation
April, 2013
Spring has traditionally been a very busy time for the Chicago Alliance Against Sexual Exploitation’s education team. As schools end their spring breaks, they begin a mad dash begins to squeeze in as many workshops as possible before the school year comes to a close. Needless to say, this keeps the team very busy.
So far, in 2013 the prevention educators have:
By the end of the 2012-2013 academic year, the CAASE prevention educators expect to have reached well over 2000 students in 11 different schools across the city of Chicago, and inspired at least three student-led service projects. Thank you for your support of our efforts. This program is continuing to each day, and is now receiving national attention for the innovative way in which it engages young people—especially young men—in a conversation about ending sexual violence and exploitation. Please continue to support CAASE’s prevention team as we continue to empower the young men and women of Chicago to make a difference.
