This project aims to provide ongoing, in-depth STEM education for girls from vulnerable backgrounds. Our goal is to deliver at least 5 comprehensive courses annually, combining mentorship, hands-on learning and exposure to real-world STEM environments. By equipping girls with knowledge, skills, and role models, we help break gender stereotypes and empower them to pursue futures in science, technology, engineering, and math.
According to UNESCO, only 35% of technical students in the world are women. In Ukraine, less than 20% of schoolchildren still have access to quality STEM education. Many children, especially in small towns and villages, are not familiar with innovative fields such as robotics, programming, or engineering. The war in Ukraine has severely disrupted education and deepened gender inequality, particularly in access to STEM.
The project offers free, inclusive STEM courses, mentorship by female experts, hands-on workshops, and educational visits. It builds confidence, encourages participation, and equips girls with practical skills needed for the modern workforce. Objectives: Creation of modern STEM classrooms in local communities. Improving the quality of teaching science subjects. Developing students' interest in STEM subjects. Rebuilding and restoring affected schools in frontline communities
In the long term, the project will contribute to Ukraine's sustainable development by nurturing a new generation of engineers, programmers, and scientists. It will also support the social integration of IDP youth, improve their psychological well-being, and provide them with future career opportunities in technology-driven fields.
