This project will transform lives of rural Ugandan youth through sports, education, and mentorship by building and equip safe community sports fields, supply uniforms, balls, cones, and training kits for 500+ youth, train 20 local youth coaches and mentors, provide life skills workshops and school support (books, fees, meals) and organize youth tournaments and talent showcases to promote visibility and motivation.
In rural Uganda, thousands of youth face limited access to quality education, mentorship, and structured recreational activities. Poverty, unemployment, and lack of infrastructure hinder their personal development, while gender inequality and early school dropouts remain high-especially among girls. These youths have the potential to excel, but lack platforms to nurture their talents, build confidence, and dream beyond their circumstances.
We will establish community-based sports programs (football, netball, volleyball) in underserved rural areas, provide coaching, equipment, and safe play spaces for 1000 youth (ages 8-18), with equal opportunities for boys and girls, integrate life skills training, leadership development, and mentorship, partner with local schools to ensure continued education of children at risk of dropping out, promote gender equality and empower girls through sports clubs, role models, and health education.
We will give marginalized youth an opportunity to grow physically, emotionally, and socially. Through sports, they'll develop teamwork, discipline, and confidence-skills that improve school retention and future employability-creating lasting change in communities by; reducing school dropout rates, increasing female participation, promoting peace and cooperation across different tribes and villages and nurturing talent that could lead to scholarships, sports careers, or community leadership roles
