Liberia went through fifteen years of war and rural women and girls were the direct victims. The project is providing women and girls with permanent skills that they can translate into economic empowerment. The skills become a major economic access platform for these women. Since we have not raised the needed funds, we have begun training these women in small groups with the hope that when we raise our target, we will then equip 150 of these impoverished women with skills for economic empowerment.
Women and girls in rural Liberia gripple with extreme poverty, inequality, and neglect all because they are from low economic backgrounds. with no vocational skills. We are creating a new platform through this project that women regain their values, respect, and dignity by using their skills for economic empowerment.
These women can provide for the fees of their kids at schools and clinics and further independently cater to the needs of their households.
