This year, Chiapas is the guest mexican state @ Design Week Mexico 2015 and because of our interest in positively impact the lives of women and indigenous communities in Chiapas through various strategies, including design and traditional textiles, we were invited to organize a pop up store of MASDEDOS a traveling platform to share Chiapas contemporary textile projects working collaboratively, with the textile design and craftsmanship.
Participants not only explore projects and tangible proposals of craft design product; but they have also learned a path of deep reflection work processes, symbols, craft techniques and the application of design as an agent of change in the reality of Chiapas artisans. As a result of these processes work, they have generated projects influenced by the context in which they operate, and also have generated collaborative ethical practices and highly symbolic and cultural value.
The MASDEDOS pop up store organized by impacto will be taking place @ Design Week Mexico 2015 in the space called Territorio Urbano on October 23-24. We are thrilled to meet everyone there and present you our new home line developed in collaboration with artisans from Huixtán, Aldama, San Juan Cancuc, Bochil y Santiago el Pinar.

Este año, Chiapas es el estado mexicano de invitados @ Design Week México 2015 y debido a nuestro interés en impactar positivamente las vidas de las mujeres y las comunidades indígenas en Chiapas a través de diversas estrategias, incluyendo el diseño y los textiles tradicionales, nos invitaron a organizar una pop-up store de MASDEDOS una plataforma para compartir proyectos textiles contemporáneos trabajando en colaboración, con el diseño textil y la artesanía del estado de Chiapas.
Los proyectos participantes no sólo exploran las posibildades y propuestas tangibles de productos de diseño artesanal; sino también han aprendido un camino de reflexión profunda de los procesos de trabajo, los símbolos, las técnicas artesanales y la aplicación del diseño como un agente de cambio en la realidad de los artesanos chiapanecos. Como resultado de estos procesos de trabajo, se han generado proyectos influenciados por el contexto en el que se desarrollan, han generado practicas colaborativas eticas y con alto valor simbolico y cultural.
MASDEDOS pop-up store organizado por impacto se llevará a cabo @ Design Week México 2015 en el espacio llamado Territorio Urbano del 23 al 24 octubre. Estamos muy emocionadas de verlos allí y presentarles nuestra nueva línea de hogar desarrollada en colaboración con artesanos de Huixtán, Aldama, San Juan Cancuc, Bochil y Santiago el Pinar.
