Educate and Empower Girls in Kenya

This year Hekima Place celebrates its 15th anniversary. This marks 15 years of providing a safe, loving and faith-based home to orphaned and vulnerable girls in Kenya. We support excellence in education and empowerment for their futures, and we promote the contribution of educated Kenyan girls for the good of Kenya and the world.

Over the past 15 years, we have received vulnerable girls into our care, and provided them with the resources and support to transform their lives. Over the past 15 years:

• Over 20 girls completed our post high school program and entered healthcare, hotel, airline, nonprofit, culinary, and other industries
• Our first college graduate finished summa cum laude from Catholic University of East Africa. She is now married and living in Mombasa, Kenya
• We have been named a “Best Practice” children home by the District Children’s Office
• Hekima Place has been honored twice by Soroptimist International for our work empowering womn and girls.
• All 4 of our 2019 high school graduates scored in the top 20% of the national exam required for graduation
• In January, we opened Hekima Hills Learning Centre, a new school where nine our own girls are attending. There they are receiving a quality education with loving teachers in a clean, safe and welcoming environment.

With your help, we can continue to care for and educate girls - girls who may not otherwise have the chance to grow up in a safe loving home and get an education to empower their futures. Together, we reach the most vulnerable children, those left behind by parents and in need of protection and education. Your gift provides funding for programs that support our girls today with education, food, clothes, medical care and counseling while fostering their long-term potential. Through your prayers and financial support, we will continue to protect, care for and educate every girl that comes to our doors.
