The novel Corona Virus (COVID - 19) has disrupted the lives of every individual globally bringing uncertainties, forcing countries to observe government mandated lockdowns and quarantine. This has brought about drastic modifications to each sector in the community in response to this deadly threat.
This has not spared the field of sports in the Philippine arena. Big and small leagues have either been cancelled or postponed over the summer when the Community Quarantine was imposed. The athletes under the Sports Scholarship Program who have been trained for such events are in status quo. The Summer Sports Camp which was suppose to train athletes from the grass roots level have all been cancelled.
Today, July 1, 2020, Negors Oriental has been downgraded to Modified General Community Quarantine. Under it's guideline sports activities are still prohibited.
