Empower 200 youth entrepreneurs in kisumu & busia

Challenge

Youth in Kisumu & Busia face high unemployment, a lack of skills, and limited economic opportunities. In Kisumu, there's a mismatch between education and market demands, while in Busia, rural poverty and early school dropout rates are prevalent. These challenges leave young people without pathways to financial independence, resulting in poverty, social exclusion, and limited community development. Without targeted interventions, these issues will continue to hinder economic growth and stability

Solution

This project will solve the problem by equipping 200 youth in Kisumu and Busia with practical business skills, vocational training, and startup support. Through tailored training programs, mentorship, and access to capital, participants will gain the tools to launch and sustain small businesses. This will create income-generating opportunities, reduce unemployment, and empower youth to become economically self-reliant, contributing to local development and poverty reduction in their communities

Long-Term Impact

The project's long-term impact includes increased youth employment, reduced poverty, and strengthened local economies in Kisumu and Busia. As 200 youth launch businesses, they will generate income, create jobs, and inspire other young people. Over time, this will lead to more self-reliant communities, reduced dependency on aid, & improved living standards. The skills and networks gained will continue to benefit participants beyond the project, fostering lasting economic and social transformation
