Quarterly Project Report: Building the Digital Future of ReGen.rocks

During this quarter, ReGen4futures made important progress in transforming ReGen.rocks from an individual learning platform into the educational foundation of a broader global ecosystem for regenerative action.

Our central objective remains unchanged: to give young people free access to high-quality education, inspiring communities and practical opportunities to contribute to a regenerative future. At the same time, we are building the partnerships, technology and institutional structures required to make this opportunity available internationally and at scale.

Strengthening the ReGen.rocks Ecosystem

ReGen.rocks is being developed as the home of “Generation ReGeneration”: a safe digital environment in which young people can learn about global challenges, connect with others and turn their knowledge into meaningful action.

To support this journey, we have further clarified the relationship between our main initiatives:

• ReGen.rocks provides free education and opportunities for youth engagement.

• The ReGen Academy develops more advanced learning, certification and regenerative leadership pathways to teach the teachers and cofinance our youth platform.

• The Global Alliance for ReGeneration connects experts, organizations, companies, schools and funders who can contribute knowledge, opportunities and resources - also to ReGen.rocks.

• ReGen Foundries will help participants move from learning and networking into collaborative projects and real-world implementation, while funding our youth platform.

Together, these elements form a pathway from education to action. Young people should not only understand the challenges facing our planet. They should also be able to find mentors, collaborators, projects and institutions that can help them become active contributors to solutions.

A Major Technology Partnership with coOwn

One of the most important developments this quarter was the advancement of our partnership with coOwn, an independent technology organization developing modular, privacy-focused and AI-native digital infrastructure.

This collaboration is central to the long-term development of ReGen.rocks because the responsible use of artificial intelligence requires a secure and trustworthy data foundation.

coOwn provides technological components such as sovereign user accounts, protected digital environments, community and collaboration tools, AI-supported knowledge systems and specialized digital “Brains” and “Agents.” These tools can eventually help connect the different areas of the ReGen ecosystem while giving users greater control over their profiles, data and interactions.

Our shared vision is that a young person could one day use one controlled profile to:

• participate in a course on ReGen.rocks,

• receive personalized learning support,

• discover relevant experts or projects,

• join a protected working group,

• and develop an idea into a concrete regenerative activity.

Artificial intelligence would not replace teachers, experts or human relationships. Instead, it would help make trusted knowledge easier to access, support meaningful connections and guide users through increasingly complex learning and project environments.

ReGen4futures remains responsible for the educational mission, content, communities, safeguarding, governance and real-world application of the system. coOwn provides the underlying technical infrastructure required to connect and scale these elements securely.

Donations made through GlobalGiving are used exclusively for the nonprofit work of ReGen4futures. They are not used to purchase shares in coOwn, finance private investments or increase the valuation of a commercial company. Where technical services are required, they may be commissioned through transparent agreements, as they would be with any professional software or development partner.

Preparing an Artificial Brain for Regeneration

Building on this technical foundation, we have begun designing an Artificial Brain for Regeneration.

The purpose of this system is to make high-quality regenerative knowledge more accessible and useful. Researchers, educators and trusted thought leaders could contribute selected materials to a protected knowledge environment. The AI could then help users explore this knowledge through dialogue, while referencing the sources behind its answers.

For ReGen.rocks, this could eventually mean that young learners are not limited to static course materials. They could ask questions, receive age-appropriate explanations and explore the connections between climate, biodiversity, society, economics and personal development.

At the same time, strong safeguards, transparent sources and human oversight will be essential. Our aim is not simply to add an AI chatbot to an educational website. We want to create a trustworthy learning companion that supports curiosity, critical thinking and responsible action.

Expanding Educational Partnerships

We also made progress in building the international network that will support the future distribution and development of ReGen.rocks.

A Letter of Intent was signed with Sam Frankel and Learning 2050, strengthening our access to international educational expertise. We also held promising discussions with the Odyssey International School in Da Nang, Vietnam, where the systemic approach of ReGen.rocks was received very positively.

These conversations are important because our educational philosophy goes beyond isolated environmental activities. Cleaning a beach, planting trees or reducing plastic waste can be valuable, but young people should also understand the systems that created these problems. ReGen.rocks therefore connects practical action with deeper learning about root causes, economic structures, social behavior and regenerative alternatives.

Through our international partners, we are preparing the platform for use across different cultural and educational contexts. Future work will include the production and translation of learning content, collaboration with schools and teachers, and the creation of pathways through which students can participate in real projects.

Building the Global Support Structure

The Global Alliance for ReGeneration continues to grow as the institutional network surrounding ReGen.rocks.

New relationships are being developed with educators, regenerative networks, businesses, foundations, international institutions and potential ambassadors. Marc Buckley, Global Chair of the Alliance, and other senior partners are helping us connect the educational mission of ReGen4futures with wider conversations about regenerative leadership, institutional capital and global cooperation.

This support structure matters directly to ReGen.rocks. A global youth platform cannot thrive through digital content alone. It requires trusted experts, participating schools, project partners, mentors, funding organizations and institutions willing to open doors for the next generation.

The Alliance is therefore being positioned as a bridge between young people and the organizations that already possess knowledge, influence, resources and implementation capacity.

Fundraising and Institutional Development

This quarter also marked an important shift from small, project-based operations towards a more stable long-term institutional model.

We are pursuing a diversified funding strategy that combines individual donations, foundation grants, corporate contributions and catalytic capital. Applications and conversations with foundations, including the E.ON Foundation and the Swiss Life Foundation, are being followed up with a specific focus on the educational development of ReGen.rocks.

In parallel, we are approaching companies, family offices and philanthropic partners that may be able to support the broader infrastructure required for international scaling.

Our immediate priority is to secure the resources needed to strengthen the core team, produce and translate educational content, improve the platform, establish safeguarding and governance processes, and expand partnerships with schools and educators.

Our broader long-term fundraising ambition reflects the scale of the challenge. We are not trying to build another isolated educational website. We are working towards a global digital infrastructure that can connect regenerative learning, communities, trusted knowledge and concrete action.

Looking Ahead

In the coming months, our focus will be on:

• developing the technological roadmap with coOwn,

• defining the secure architecture for AI-supported learning,

• expanding and translating ReGen.rocks content,

• formalizing additional school and educational partnerships,

• strengthening the connection between ReGen.rocks, the ReGen Academy and the Global Alliance,

• and securing the funding required to move from preparation into implementation.

This quarter has brought a significant increase in strategic clarity. The educational mission of ReGen.rocks is now being supported by a stronger international network, a more coherent institutional structure and a technology partnership capable of providing the secure foundation for responsible AI.
