By Paul Zangue | Executive Director
These past months, Breaking Ground has been monitoring beneficiaries from our last training session. Our Executive Director, Paul and Marie from GADD, our partner NGO visited them to see how their businesses are growing. Our female entrepreneurs, even though well trained, are facing certain challenges.
One of the challenges they face is competition. They face stiff competition marketing their products with both organized sectors and their male counterparts. Again some of them are illiterates and this gives their competitors an upper hand over them.
They face some of these challenges because they do not apply lessons learnt and skills acquired, like book keeping. Helen, for example who owns a restaurant/bar does not use a cash book.
Their trainer Marie, will keep visiting their business sites to ensure that their businesses keep growing. This will enable them refund their loans when due.
