On March 9, IBREA stared Brain Education (BE) in two schools in Liberia.
We are working with 51 children and 17 teachers in Paynesville Community School and 40 students and 40 students and 15 teachers in Special Project School.
After 14 years of civil war, the country continues to recover its basic infrastructure and services, including water, electricity and a good education system. Some of the children we work with are in their 20s but catching up with their primary education since they could not go to school during the war.
It is an important timing now for Liberia's young generations to recover their confidence and spirit to create the future they want to see for themselves and their country. We are carrying out this pilot BE project in order to help that process. Our vision is to expand to the rest of the educational system after the success of this pilot phase. The children and teachers already start to feel the benefits of Brain Education. They say they feel more energized and can focus better in school.
