Women in rural South Africa struggle to find social equality. By donating to this campaign, you are giving the women working with Hlomelikusasa access to education and agricultural skills to be financially independent, changing their place in rural society. The gardens sponsored by this project are organic, sustainable, and provide critical income for families- the effects of which are long-reaching. Women’s status among their family improves, their children can go to school, and the community comes together when they lead initiatives for improvement. Poverty alleviation through grassroots development empowers women to find other long-term solutions that don’t depend on large aid organizations.
