Over the past quarter, Compassiva has continued advancing its projects, reaching hundreds of people in situations of refuge and vulnerability, and reinforcing our commitment to rebuilding lives.
In our Portuguese language classes, we welcomed an average of 60 regular students across seven groups. Of those, just over 30 received transportation assistance, enabling their mobility throughout São Paulo and ensuring continued access to education. We also organized a variety of cultural experiences—both on and off campus—including visits to the Ipiranga Museum, a theater performance on Lebanese migration to Brazil, and a lecture on women's rights in the country.
June was marked by the second edition of our annual event, Refuge Voices, themed “Seeking Open Doors.” The event brought together dozens of guests, volunteers, and participants. Individuals from Afghanistan, Yemen, Iran, Palestine, the Democratic Republic of Congo, and Syria shared their cultures by selling traditional food and handmade crafts, performing artistic presentations, and taking part in interviews about their personal journeys.
As we approach the end of another semester, we are planning new events, building new partnerships, and implementing operational improvements across our LAR projects—creating more opportunities for lives to be restored and stories to be shared.
