Project Report | Feb 24, 2022
Celebrating the 2021 results

By Edilene Souza | Secretary

In 2014, Compassiva started Portuguese classes for people who sought refuge in Brazil, due to the conflict in Syria, as a civil society organization, it has been working largely on volunteering, an important value for us, as we understand that every citizen is called to be part of the change in the world.
In these 8 years we have attended to different nationalities, and even today the most expressive nationality, in Portuguese classes at LAR, continues to be Syria, but also due to the migratory crisis of people from our neighboring country, Venezuela, who represent the 2nd largest audience present in our classrooms.

In 2020, during the pandemic, the IOM, the International Organization for Migration, also joined Compassiva, helping more Venezuelans to have their diplomas revalidated on national soil and remained the following year.

But, despite the adversities, we are grateful to present below some of the impact results generated in the year 2021.

. 3,361 basic food needs
