Paralegal Girls with paralegal Certificates 2012
Paralegal Girls with paralegal Certificates 2012

From February 2012, The 30 human trafficking survivors were given the fifth paralegal training. One month is the theoretical class and the other six month is the practical. In the theoretical class, the legal procedure of the Nepalese law system is dealt with and in the practical class the similar theoretical learned things are applied. The main objective of the paralegal training is to make the victim of the human trafficking able to file complaint against the culprit by themselves. And to also make them aware about the legal procedures as well. Kathmandu District Court is supposed to take the paralegal examination, but due to the political instability the exam was taken only on February' 2013. 30 trafficking survivors who were taking the training took the examination. Due to the delay in the examination, the trainees this time took 12 months of the practical courses. Among 30 examiners, 21 passed the examination and took the paralegal certificate. The paralegals who received the certificate are sent out of the valley for the public service and from this they also earn some money for themselves. This time we have already sent the paralegals to Pokhara. The failed trainees again have to receive the paralegal training in 2013 and take exam in 2014. We congratulate the passed 21 paralegals. This work is possible only through the donation which has been made possible by Global Giving. With this we have been able make the survivors sustained in the society. Till now we have already sustained 130 survivors with the paralegal training. From July 13, we are starting the new paralegal training. As earlier we will provide training to 30 survivors. For this we expect to get as much from you as possible. With your help, we hope that our training will be successful. Thank you
