Twenty years ago, Fundación Mediapila opened its doors with a simple but powerful belief: that economic autonomy transforms lives. Since 2005, we have worked to build real pathways to dignified work for women in situations of social and economic vulnerability. Our model combines three interconnected pillars — technical skills training, personal development, and labor market insertion — because we know that a trade alone is not enough. What changes a life is training, trust, and sustained accompaniment.

Classes are back — and bigger than ever. This season, over 100 women and young people took their first steps across our two flagship programs. In Costura y Emprendedurismo (Sewing & Entrepreneurship), participants learned everything from basic machine skills to running their own small businesses, joining a community of 256 women already connected through the Mediapila Sewing Network. In Mujeres Programando Futuro (Women Coding the Future), a new cohort began their journey into web development, IT professional skills, and the tools to break into the tech industry — a community that now counts more than 280 graduates strong.

The results of our programs speak to something real and lasting. In the technology track, 40% of graduates obtained or improved their employment, 76% continued training in IT after completing the course, and standout achievements include a graduate hired at Mercado Libre and university scholarships in tech-related careers. In the sewing and entrepreneurship track, 260 women graduated across 11 course editions, 33 joined our textile production unit, and 18 entrepreneurs took their products to 9 fairs — from Accenture to Bioferia — turning their skills into income.

What makes Mediapila's model distinctive is its commitment to community beyond the classroom. Graduates don't leave — they stay connected through job placement networks, mentoring programs, cultural events, and spaces for mutual support. In 2025, we celebrated our 20th anniversary alongside R.E.D. Di Tella, hosted a masterclass on AI, and organized financial education workshops with Brubank. These aren't extras; they are the fabric of what we do.
