Hello, thank you for being interested in our projects! In Fundación Mediapila we work to build a society where all women have the opportunity to develop their working lives in a dignified way.
We want to share with you that we are finishing the first semester of Sewing and Programming classes. In these months, many women were trained in trades that surely transformed their lives.
A notable activity of the technology course was a Masterclass on the role of "Project Maganer" by Tobias Matarasso and Marian Memoli (coordinator of the "Women Programming Future" course), where they learned to plan, execute and supervise projects successfully using advanced methods and tools adapted to current needs. In addition, they strengthened personal skills to lead teams, communicate effectively, and make strategic decisions that drive the success of their future projects.
The students of the sewing course participated in a cost management workshop. We carry out a joint exercise to understand what the fixed and variable costs are in their ventures with the objective that they can generate income taking into account key concepts such as "contribution margin" and "breakeven point".
Another notable activity has to do with our textile production area. Our job placement axis focuses on developing fundamental soft skills for work such as: communication, responsibility and teamwork, among others. It also covers the different modes of insertion that the organization promotes: entry of ventures to the online store, link between seamstresses and clients through the job board, team of seamstresses in the production area, among others.
We shared a production meeting with 15 graduates interested in joining the Foundation's network of seamstresses. We talked about how they came to Mediapila, their current endeavors and those who had already participated in the area told their experience about the opportunities that this network offers.
Make your contribution to these women from Argentina who are in a situation of social and economic vulnerability and want to transform their daily lives.
