Haiti Project is poised for growth! A new sewing project is underway at the Haiti Projects' sewing cooperative. Haiti Projects, together with Hand/Eye, is working on desiging a new set of wine bottle gift bags for a new high-end customer in New York.
Each bag is hand drawn, embroidered, and embellished with sequins and beads. These new products will be available to customers at haitiprojects.org in the late spring of 2014.
The goal of this project is to generate enough new purchases to support a second shift for our women's sewing cooperative and to have a constant supply of work for the women.
Every purchase makes an impact and your donations are critical to our ongoing success. The income Haiti Projects generate from purchases of products is sent directly back to the women on our payroll. These women work hard to feed, clothe and educate more than 500 children in Fond des Blancs. Your purchases will also support the women's health care clinic that focuses on family planning, and the community library that works to offer educational opportunities, including high speed internet through our cyber cafe to the adults and children in the community.
Thanks for your ongoing support!!
