Eugenie has been with us since the start of the pad project. She’s one of our go to sewers and has made hundreds of reusable sanitary pads that have peaked the interest of many girls and women in the community. This project means so much to her. With the salary received from sewing the pads, she’s able to feed her kids and even help others in her family. Eugenie also started selling the pads on market day for supplementary income. She is proud that products she has produced is making a difference in the lives of many women in the rural areas that don’t have access to clean, safe sanitary materials. And the fact that it is reusable makes it environmentally friendly. She can’t wait to see where the project will head next!
