We managed to hit significant milestones during these last couple of months. We’re happy to announce our acceptance to the International Folk Art Market (IFAM) 2020! The unrest died down which meant we were finally able to get a shipment of supplies in and out of the capital which in turn meant steady work for our women. Our embroiderers continue to remain hopeful as they work to produce items that we will sell in the local market and at the International fair.
During the unrest, the women bought jeans, tshirts, and other items in the local market. From these items, they created bangles, denim tote bags, and cotton headbands. We were pleasantly surprised by what they made. The samples looked on trend and really unique. Tell us what you think! Should they keep going?
