It's gonna be a Krantikari (Revolutionary) 2020!

Our girls, the Krantikaris (Revolutionaries) have been on a sprint to finish 2019 strong!

  • Farah, who is in her final years of graduating from the University of the West, Los Angeles, has gotten straight As on all 6 of her papers this semester.
  • Pinky volunteered with the Peepal Farm animal rescue shelter in Himachal Pradesh, India, where she took care of old, sick and injured animals.
  • Sheetal and Asmita completed a 6-month internship with The Freedom Cafe, New Hampshire- a non-profit cafe dedicated to ending human trafficking. They learnt everything from making coffee to customer service and accounting there, and wish to start a cafe like this of their own in Mumbai.
  • Noor, our newest Krantikari, has gone 3 months without self-harming, thanks to her regular psychotherapy session with our experienced therapists, specialising in adolscent trauma.
  • Katy Perry came to perform in Mumbai and chose us to personally meet backstage!!!

And this is how it goes at Kranti - all our successes look very different from each other. No success is too small to celebrate, because we know that it takes just as much grit, resilience, will power, hard work and support from those around us, to not hurt ourselves, as it takes to get good grades.

There is so much more good news that we cannot possibly list it all - Krantikaris Sandhya and Ashwini just completed their first semester at Ashoka University, New Delhi, and talked about how much Kranti School (our in-house leadership development curriculum) helped them with college, Jayashree is working with a non-profit in rural Punjab stopping adolscent girls from dropping out from school, Shraddha is working with a non-profit that works with the transgender community to make public art projects to spread awareness.

As we head into 2020, we are all taking a breather. We have come together from all around the world where we are studying and interning and volunteering, and going to a spiritual retreat in the mountains. All of us will be meditating together there and sending all our positive energies out into the world, and to you, so we may, all together, usher ourselves and our world into a Revolutionary 2020!
