Two More Goat Farming Projects Have Been Funded

By Lewis McIlwain | President/co-Founder

As lf 12 February 2025, Thirst No More Corporation has been able to fully fund two additional goat farming projects in rural Nepal. Funding for these projects came from supporters outside GlobalGiving; however our organization referenced GlobalGiving in many of our social media posts. There were two families that benefited from the giving so far in 2025. Please note, we have already provided for our first family in late 2024.

The first family in 2025 to receive assistance is the family of Beth Kumari Mahato, whose goat farming project was funded in January 2025. Her family has been struggling just to put food on the table due to a lack of finding consistent employment opportunities in their region. We are excited that now Beth and her family members have now become entrepreneurs; thus eventually having the resources through the initial 3 goats received, to raise and breed them; using them to provide milk, cheese, manure, yogurt, and nutrition. They can also breed them for purchase by others in the community.

The second family in 2025 to receive assistance is the family of Sita Chaudhary Mahato. Sita, a resilient woman abandoned by her husband, is supporting her two children single-handedly by raising chickens and doing field work. With the help from supporters, we have now provided her the opportunity to thrive as an entrepreneur. These contributions not only support Sita's journey but also promotes female entrepreneurship, business management, and sustainable self-reliance.

Thirst No More Corporation is still looking for opportunities to get our GlobalGiving network engaged in this essential work. Our plan is to promote GlobalGiving in more of our public campaigns, as well as reach out to those in the know within the platform to explore more effective ways to reach our giving communities.

Cordially,

Lewis A. McIlwain III
