I’d like to share an inspiring story that reflects the impact of your support through our Empower and Educate Teenage Mothers in Chile project.

Meet Antonella. Becoming a mother at a young age made it incredibly difficult for her to continue her education. Like many teenage mothers, she faced obstacles that seemed impossible to overcome, and returning to school felt like a distant dream.

Everything changed when she enrolled in one of Fundación Súmate’s flexible re-entry education programs. There, she found teachers who believed in her, a supportive community, and a learning environment that understood her reality as a young mother. Instead of being judged, she was encouraged to keep moving forward.

Today, Antonella is working toward completing her education while building a brighter future for herself and her child. Her story shows that when young mothers receive the right support, education becomes more than a diploma—it becomes a path to independence, confidence, and new opportunities.
