Arca Beta is an international team that believes in the future generation. We see today's children and teenagers as agents of change protecting and conserving the environment. Our project "Environmental Club" empowered 1 school in Iquitos, Peru. Our next goal is to implement Environmental Club in five more schools with the tools and intercultural exchange, project-based learning and empathy of our volunteers, so that we give the children hands-on experience and purpose.
Lack of Funding and Resources, Limited Local Support, Environmental Issues, Schools Equipment. These challenges affect the most vulnerable members of the community like children, students, and local educators-who are unable to access the educational tools and environmental knowledge they need to create a sustainable community. By supporting ARCA BETA, donors can help provide the resources, training, and mentoring needed to adapt to climate change to benefit 1625 students of Peruvian Amazon.
This project addresses educational and environmental challenges in the Amazon. By securing funding, we will hire two administrative staff and reenabling student participation in recycling, composting, and clean-up efforts.The project will also collaborate with local authorities with the goal to mitigate climate change. Partnerships with other entities will ensure long-term success, promoting sustainable education, environmental awareness and community resilience.
This project has already transfomed the lives of 375 students and aims to reach 1250 students more and the Maynas community in the Amazon by teaching sustainable practices like recycling and adaptation. It will empower young leaders through environmental education and address issues like pollution and flooding to build community resilience. International experience will promote cultural exchange. Ultimately, the project will cultivate young leaders who drive sustainable development.
