Empower Amazon kids to protect the environment

We are happy to share a new update from our project “Empower Amazon kids to protect the environment.”

During this period, Arca Beta continued working with students, teachers, and local school communities in the Peruvian Amazon to strengthen environmental education and practical action. The project helps children understand that protecting the Amazon starts with simple daily habits, such as reducing waste, caring for water, separating recyclable materials, and keeping their school environment clean.

Students will be participating in environmental club activities school year 2026 where they learn about recycling, responsible consumption, and the importance of protecting rivers, forests, and biodiversity. These sessions are designed to be practical and easy to understand, so students can apply what they learn at school and share it with their families at home.

One of the most important achievements is that students are becoming more confident as young environmental leaders. They are learning to observe problems in their community, organize small actions, and motivate others to care for the environment. Teachers also play an important role by helping guide the activities and encouraging student participation.

This work is especially important in Amazon communities, where environmental challenges affect children’s health, education, and future opportunities. Through this project, we want students to feel that they can be part of the solution and that their actions matter.

In the next stage, we will continue supporting school environmental clubs, promoting student participation, and strengthening practical learning activities connected to recycling, water protection, and care for the Amazon rainforest.
