Dear Donor,
Local Action, Global Impact – Community Campaign 2025 in Sachachorro
Building on the strong foundation of the Environmental Club, our 2025 campaign takes a bold step forward by engaging Sachachorro school community in a hands-on sustainability initiative. Recognizing the harmful impact of used cooking oil being discarded into the Amazon River, our students have launched a community-based oil recycling project to transform waste into a resource — producing artisanal soap.
This campaign not only raises awareness about water pollution and its effects on biodiversity but also empowers students and families to take direct action. Through workshops and awareness events, students teach community members how to safely collect and store used oil, which is then processed at the school into eco-friendly soap using simple, replicable techniques.
By combining traditional knowledge, scientific learning, and entrepreneurial skills, the initiative fosters a sense of ownership and responsibility in protecting the Amazon.
This project exemplifies how young leaders can drive change when equipped with the right tools and support. From reducing pollution to spreading eco-conscious habits, the Environmental Club 2025 is proving that meaningful change starts at school — and grows with community.
