December Highlights from Sachachorro School

December is an exciting month for everyone, especially for students in Peru! It marks the end of the school year, a time celebrated with a traditional festive event called the "Chocolatada." During this celebration, children and teachers gather at school to enjoy panetones, sip hot chocolate, and receive awards recognizing their achievements over the year. This year, we organized a special Chocolatada for the students of Sachachorro School who participated in the Environmental Club.

Achievements Worth Celebrating

This year was filled with incredible accomplishments. The students learned, step by step, how to create "humus" or compost. They then used this compost to build a vertical garden made from recycled plastic bottles in the school courtyard. This school-based project deserves a round of applause!

In addition, the students painted beautiful murals to raise awareness about local diseases. They also participated in a community recycling campaign, collecting over three tons of plastic bottles. Truly amazing!

The Future of the Environmental Club

The Environmental Club has proven to be a huge success! Boys and girls alike are thrilled with their accomplishments and are eager to continue their efforts next year. They are already heroes in their community, and we will keep supporting them in every way we can.
