Dear friends and supporters,because of your incredible generosity this quater, Heal The Minds was able to keep the promise to teenage mothers and vulnerable children in wakiso district in Uganda.In aregion where Teenage mothers face severe stigma and school dropout remain high.Your donations are actually re writting futures.You'ren't just funding aprogram,youre restoring dignity and mental well being.
Here is exactly what your support achieved over the last 3 months across our 3 core pillars
Education support for orphans.we successfully distributed scholastic materials including books, pens and pencils to 50 vulnerable children ensuring they stayed in classrooms than exploitative child labour.
Voccational skills training .we supported 5 teenage mother to enroll in practicle hair dressing training preparing them to own their businesses and break the cycle of poverty.
Mental Health and psychosocial counselling.Facilitated 5 counselling sessions including community awareness ,stigma reduction hence building safe spaces to heal, build resilience and share experiences without judgement
Looking ahead and current challenges.While we cerebrate this mile stone, the reality on ground is demanding.Uganda records thousands of teenage mothers monthly and the number of those waiting for vocational skills and Mental health support is so big.
