Empower 40 Dalit mothers with a micro-finance loan

1st Mum to benefit from this Challenge

Geetha 1st mum to benefit

Thank you very much to the first dozen donors. We have 40 mothers lined up who are waiting to see will they get a loan to buy a cow.

We have just let Geetha know. She is first in line as we have raised already over $250. When we get to $500 the next mother will be informed.

Geetha lives in a small village. She has three children and finds it difficult to get enough work and income to feed her family.

The cow will be a life changing experience for her and her family.

It will provide nutrition
She will be able to repay her loan within 20 months
She knows that another family will benefit after that and this encourages her to repay her loan
Additional calves will be born which can either be sold or kept.
Indians have a special affinity to cows. Very few eat beef.
