Provide income to 250youth by recycling inTanzania

During this reporting period, NESODO has not received new donations for the project, “Provide Income to 250 Youth by Recycling Plastic Waste in Tanzania” (Project ID: 57725). As a result, we have not been able to resume field activities or make further progress in expanding the plastic collection and recycling activities.

Despite this funding challenge, NESODO remains fully committed to the project and to its goal of creating income-generating opportunities for young people through plastic waste recycling. We remain determined to build on the foundation established through our previous work with youth groups and community recycling initiatives.

Our previous experience demonstrated the potential of community-based plastic collection and recycling to contribute to both environmental protection and youth livelihoods. However, without additional resources, we are currently unable to support the groups to continue and expand these activities as planned.

When funding becomes available, our priorities will include reconnecting with the previously engaged youth groups, strengthening plastic collection activities, supporting the recycling value chain, and expanding opportunities for young people to earn income while contributing to a cleaner environment.

Every contribution will help NESODO move closer to providing meaningful livelihood opportunities for youth while addressing plastic waste pollution in Tanzania.
